PROGRAMS
Creating A Village creates safe, positive, and community-centered spaces where young people can build confidence, connect with caring adults, and see what is possible for their lives. Our programs are rooted in mentorship, family connection, hands-on learning, and the belief that youth need more opportunities to gather outside of school in spaces that reflect their value, potential, and belonging.
GIRLS TO LADIES
Girls to Ladies supports girls and young women through experiences that build confidence, self-worth, family connection, and belonging. The program was created to give girls access to positive spaces where they can feel seen, celebrated, mentored, and encouraged as they grow into themselves.
Through events, mentorship, and hands-on activities, Girls to Ladies helps young people connect with women, caregivers, mentors, and community leaders who can pour into them and remind them of what they are capable of becoming. Program experiences may include family-centered events like the Daddy Daughter Dance, self-care and confidence-building activities, hair and beauty workshops, conversations with mentors, and opportunities for girls to connect with positive peer support.
The purpose of Girls to Ladies is not just to host events. It is to create moments where girls feel valued, supported, and surrounded by a village that believes in them. Whether a daughter is walking into a dance and being welcomed with a crown, learning a new skill, or hearing from women who have broken barriers in their fields, the goal is the same: to help girls build confidence, make positive connections, and see a future full of possibility.
BOYZ TO MEN
Boyz to Men supports boys and young men through mentorship, hands-on learning, career exposure, and positive male connection. The program was created in response to the need for more safe, structured spaces where boys can spend time outside of school, connect with caring adults, and be introduced to positive examples of manhood, leadership, responsibility, and purpose.
Through Boyz to Men, youth are connected to mentors from different walks of life, including entrepreneurs, tradespeople, professionals, community leaders, and men with lived experiences who can speak honestly about growth, choices, challenges, and success. Program experiences may include career conversations, hands-on skill-building, car repair and maintenance exposure, entrepreneurship, workforce connections, community meals, and events that bring boys, parents, and mentors together.
At the heart of Boyz to Men is the belief that boys need to see real examples of what they can become. When young people are placed in rooms with people who reflect their goals, interests, and potential, something powerful can happen. They begin to see that their dreams are possible, that their choices matter, and that their community is invested in helping them grow.
Boyz to Men gives boys and young men a place to connect, learn, ask questions, build confidence, and be surrounded by mentors who want to see them thrive.
